[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the past four days, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) experienced severe rains and landslides, leading to the loss of 15 lives and injuries to 14 people. The floods and continuous rainfall also caused significant damage to residential properties, with 83 houses partially affected and 12 houses completely destroyed, as reported by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
To address the situation, the government has allocated Rs. 60 million for the districts affected by the rains and floods. Immediate compensation is being provided following the guidelines set by Abdul Basit. The compensation package includes Rs. 1 million for the families of the deceased, and varying amounts for those injured, based on the severity of their injuries.

As the province prepares for the next spell of monsoon rains from 31 July, authorities are concerned about the potential for flash floods and urban flooding.
The PDMA has also outlined specific compensation amounts for damaged houses, based on the extent of the destruction caused by natural calamities.
