The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced major reforms to standardize recruitment for Govt Jobs across the province. The move aims to improve transparency and merit in public sector hiring.
Acting on directives from Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the Higher Education Department issued a notification stating that all recruitment in government and semi-government institutions will now be conducted through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).
The notification also confirms that all previous exemptions granted to semi-autonomous bodies have been withdrawn. These organizations are now included under a single, uniform recruitment framework.
Officials said the reforms will end inconsistencies caused by department-specific hiring practices. Previously, different standards applied to different institutions, creating loopholes and room for favoritism.
Routing all hiring through ETEA will ensure a fair, transparent, and competitive process. Candidates across KP will now have equal opportunities to apply for Govt Jobs, regardless of the institution.
Authorities emphasized that the reforms are designed to strengthen public trust in government recruitment and reduce complaints of bias or favoritism. By standardizing procedures, the government aims to make hiring for Govt Jobs more accountable and merit-based.
The KP government also highlighted that these reforms are part of a broader plan to modernize administrative processes. Officials believe the move will improve efficiency, streamline recruitment, and ensure that qualified candidates are selected for key roles in the public sector.
