The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a comprehensive Ramadan Relief Plan to provide maximum ease and comfort to the public during the holy month of Ramadan.
KP Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations across the province. He directed relevant departments and district administrations to ensure smooth implementation of the plan.
To monitor essential commodity prices, the KP Government has established price monitoring desks in all districts. Officials have been instructed to take strict action against hoarding, adulteration, profiteering, and price inflation. Additional price magistrates will be assigned to enforce these rules effectively.
The KP Government emphasized close coordination with market associations and traders. District administrations were told to treat all citizens, including street vendors, with dignity, compassion, and according to the law.
Authorities are also collaborating with religious scholars to discourage price hikes, adulteration, and profiteering during Ramadan. Public awareness campaigns will be promoted through Friday sermons, highlighting citizens’ moral responsibility in the holy month.
Comprehensive plans have been prepared for traffic management, market cleanliness, and elimination of professional begging to maintain order in public spaces. Ramadan Dastarkhwans will be set up with support from philanthropists and welfare organizations to provide meals to the needy.
The KP Government has coordinated with relevant institutions to ensure uninterrupted electricity and gas supply during Ramadan. Dedicated WhatsApp numbers and the Marastyal App have been provided for citizens to report price hikes, shortages, or other complaints.

The Chief Secretary reaffirmed that the KP Government remains fully committed to facilitating the public during Ramadan and will use all available resources to provide maximum relief during the blessed month.
