A knife attack at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing, Jiangsu province, eastern China, left eight people dead and 17 others injured on Saturday evening.

Police confirmed the arrest of the suspect, a 21-year-old former student who failed to graduate this year due to poor academic performance.
Authorities revealed that the suspect returned to the school “to express his anger,” confessing to carrying out the attack. Emergency services in Yixing were fully deployed to treat the injured and provide support to those affected by the incident.
