KMC Returns Saifi Soomro’s Missing Paintings Amid Royalties Dispute

The mystery of Saifi Soomro’s missing paintings was resolved when the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) returned the two artworks to him at Frere Hall on Monday. Despite this, Soomro raised concerns and hinted at pursuing legal action, seeking Rs1 million in royalties.

The paintings, which disappeared during an exhibition at Frere Hall, gained widespread attention on social media. Raza Abbas, KMC’s Senior Director of Culture and Sports, returned the artworks to Soomro in a media event, where renowned artist Jimmy Engineer also awarded him a cash prize.
