Sindh Rangers, in collaboration with the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), successfully recovered the body of a woman who had been kidnapped and murdered, and arrested two suspects involved in the crime. The operation took place in the Gulshan-e-Noor area of Surjani Town, officials reported on Sunday.
According to a Sindh Rangers spokesperson, authorities received intelligence that a woman named Sehar Fatima had been abducted from Gulberg Town, with her kidnappers demanding a ransom of Rs 100 million. Acting on this tip-off, the law enforcement agencies conducted a joint operation, leading to the arrest of two suspects, Waseem Raza and Nix, from the Surjani Town area.

The suspects confessed during initial interrogation that they had abducted Sehar Fatima on February 15, holding her captive in a rented house in Hassan Brohi Goth, Surjani Town. They had bound her and filmed her captivity to send a ransom demand to her father. When the ransom was not paid, the suspects brutally murdered the woman. Following their confession, authorities raided the location and recovered her body.
The victim’s body was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at Yousuf Plaza Police Station, and the suspects have been handed over to the AVCC for further legal proceedings. Authorities have promised a comprehensive investigation to ensure justice is served.
