PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved an increase of up to 25 percent in employee salaries for the fiscal year 2024-25. Initially, the provincial government had proposed a 10 percent salary increase in the budget. However, following approval from the Centre for a 25 percent hike, the provincial cabinet has revised this figure.

Under the new adjustment, employees in Grades 1 to 16 will receive a 25 percent salary increase, while officers in Grade 17 and above will see a 20 percent raise. Additionally, pensions for retired employees will increase by 15 percent, up from the 10 percent originally announced in the budget. Family pensions will also see the same increase for the current fiscal year.
