Khalilur Rehman Qamar confirms Humayun Saeed for ‘Main Manto Nahi Hoon’

The names of the principal players for Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s next play, principal Manto Nahi Hoon, have recently been revealed. Although the drama was momentarily paused for a variety of reasons, the production team intends to release it soon.

While there had been rumours that Mehwish Hayat and Maya Ali would be joining the cast of the production directed by Nadeem Baig, no confirmation of their involvement in the show has been received.

Qamar revealed the lead actor for his upcoming play during a recent visit on Mazaaq Raat. He joyfully stated that Humayun Saeed had been cast in the lead role, something Saeed had previously confirmed in an Independent Urdu interview.

When the show’s host, Wasay Chaudhry, asked about the female lead, Qamar joked, “I have been told not to take Sajal Aly’s name,” causing the host and the audience to burst out laughing.

It’s worth noting that Saeed, best renowned for his spectacular performance in the drama Mere Paas Tum Ho, has recently shifted his concentration to films. Nonetheless, his absence from television dramas has left his admirers yearning for him to return to the small screen. Saeed’s fans are looking forward to his return to TV dramas with his partnership with the acclaimed writer in Main Manto Nahi Hoon.
