Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport witnessed significant congestion, leading to delays in the departure of numerous international flights. More than ten flights were scheduled to depart simultaneously, overwhelming the airport’s infrastructure and causing lengthy delays for passengers.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed that an unusually high volume of passengers led to chaos at the airport. Flights bound for key international destinations, including Saudi Arabia and Bangkok, were delayed by several hours, leaving travelers stranded in long queues, particularly at the immigration counters.

Among the most impacted was a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight to Madinah, which faced a delay of three hours. Several other flights to the Middle East and Southeast Asia also encountered disruptions.
Passengers expressed frustration over the lack of timely information and the long wait times. The immigration staff struggled to manage the surge, leading to congestion at various checkpoints across the airport.
While the CAA has yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the simultaneous departures, sources suggest poor scheduling may have exacerbated the issue. Passengers have been advised to arrive well ahead of their scheduled departure times to minimize further disruptions.
