[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said on Monday that the perpetrator and his accomplice of the terror attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO) on February 17 were killed during an encounter.
Iriadullah, the attack’s planner, was shot dead after the CTD responded to a tip-off near the Northern Bypass in the city’s Manghopir district.
According to CTD officials, two terrorists were detained while the other two were shot and killed, including the mastermind.
According to the CTD, Abdul Waheed was the second terrorist slain, and Iriadullah was a commander of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Karachi.

Three terrorists wearing suicide vests broke into the multi-story KPO headquarters last month. Police commandos and paramilitary forces participated in the hours-long operation.
Four people, including two police officers and a Sindh Rangers sub-inspector, chose martyrdom in the tense operation that lasted more than four hours and resulted in the deaths of all three terrorists.
Following a fatal suicide assault at a mosque in Peshawar Civil Lines that left at least 85 people dead, the terror attack injured at least 17 other people, including police and Rangers members.
Participating in the tense operation were DIG East Muqadas Haider, DIG South Ifran Baloch, DIG Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) Nasir Aftab, Special Security Unit (SSU), and Sindh Rangers. The Pakistan Army has also offered support to the police.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
