A new cold wave may begin to affect the entirety of Sindh, including Karachi, from Thursday and may last until Tuesday, according to a forecast released by the early warning centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department on Tuesday (January 17).

The minimum temperature is predicted to be between five and seven degrees in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Tandu Muhammad Khan, and Thatta, according to the Met department. There is a chance that the temperature in other districts, such as Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, and Tharparkar, would be between two and four degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department said that during the cold wave, temperatures in Shaheed Benazirabad, Nowsheroferoz, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, and Sanghar could fall as low as three to five degrees. People have been urged to take precautions during the cold wave by the weather authorities.

The city’s lowest recorded temperature on Tuesday was 13.5 degrees Celsius, which is one degree higher than the day before. The Met department noted that for the next 24 hours, the city’s weather is predicted to stay cool and dry while morning fog and high winds are possible.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
