Karachi residents felt earthquake tremors again on Sunday, the second day of Eid-ul-Azha. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that a quake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck near Malir at 3:35 AM. The epicentre was located about four kilometres southeast of the Malir area.
In addition to Malir, tremors were also felt around the Ormara region. According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake there had a magnitude of 3.1 and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, with its epicentre 118 kilometres southeast of Ormara. Fortunately, no casualties or damages have been reported so far from either area.

This recent activity follows earlier mild tremors recorded on June 5 in Malir, where an earthquake of magnitude 2.0 occurred. The seismic monitoring also noted another minor quake on the same day at 7:54 AM, with its epicentre located 11 kilometres northeast of Malir at a depth of 40 kilometres.
Since the beginning of June, Karachi has experienced a total of 29 tremors, indicating ongoing seismic activity in the region. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure public safety.
