“People came out of their homes and offices for a short time after feeling the jolts,” said one resident of Shah Faisal Colony. There have been no reports of damage or injuries.

Officials from the Seismological Centre confirmed the tremor was minor and not considered dangerous. A spokesperson noted that this event is consistent with a recent pattern of low-magnitude quakes being monitored around the Karachi region.

While authorities urge calm, they have advised residents to remain alert and follow safety protocols in the event of further seismic activity.
