21 Arrested After Police Raid Obscene Dance Party in Karachi

Police in Karachi carried out a late-night operation after receiving information about an illegal Dance Party in the city. The raid was conducted by Darakhshan police in DHA Phase 6, Chota Nishat, Commercial Lane 4.

According to officials, the Dance Party was taking place inside a private nightclub. Authorities said the event involved loud music and activities considered indecent under local laws. Police acted quickly after a tip-off and reached the location during the gathering.

During the raid, police arrested a total of 21 people. This included 16 men and 5 women who were present at the venue. However, a woman identified as Farwa, along with a few others, managed to escape before the police completed the operation.

Officials stated that the Dance Party included performances described as obscene. Attendees were reportedly dancing to loud music in violation of regulations. Police also noted that some individuals were using hookah, commonly known as shisha, during the event.

Authorities seized several items from the scene as evidence. These included three hookahs with 11 different flavored tobaccos. Police also recovered heavy-duty sound speakers used during the event. These items were taken into custody as part of the investigation.

A formal case has been registered against the arrested individuals. The case falls under FIR No. 226/2026. Charges include involvement in indecent activities and violation of public safety laws. Legal provisions applied include Sections 294, 269, 270, and 34. In addition, Section 4/6 of the Sound System Ordinance 2015 has also been included.

Police officials said the action was taken to maintain public order and enforce existing laws. They emphasized that such gatherings are not allowed without proper permissions. Authorities also warned that strict action will continue against illegal events across the city.
