Customs Enforcement Karachi intensified its anti-smuggling efforts, seizing smuggled vehicles and heavy bikes worth Rs. 440.51 million, including some with official government plates.
A specialized team, led by Additional Collector Mr. Baasit Hussain, Deputy Collector ASO Syed Muhammad Raza Naqvi, and SPS Car Squad member Mr. Azhar Malik, conducted the operations. Collaborating with an intelligence agency, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) raided storage sites in Karachi’s Saddar and DHA Phase-I, recovering 37 sports bikes valued at Rs. 176.29 million.

In a separate Malir Cantt operation, 21 illegally imported vehicles worth Rs. 264.22 million were seized. The total valuation, inclusive of duties and taxes, reached Rs. 440.51 million.
Legal proceedings have begun under Sections 168 and 171 of the Customs Act 1969. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the smuggling network behind these operations.
