Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has declared her foray into Indian politics by announcing her candidacy for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
According to local media reports, Kangana’s father has confirmed that she will be contesting on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.
Speculation about Kangana entering politics gained traction after her recent meeting with BJP’s National President J.P. Nadda.
In various media interviews, Kangana had previously hinted at her political aspirations, expressing support for the Modi government and BJP. She not only endorsed their political initiatives but also aligned herself with their ideological stance.

In early November, during an interview with a newspaper, Kangana Ranaut disclosed her interest in participating in future Lok Sabha elections, signaling her intent to embark on a political journey in the near future.

It’s worth noting that Kangana Ranaut is set to portray the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming historical drama film titled ‘Emergency.’ The film revolves around the period of the Emergency imposed in India between 1975 and 1977.
