[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]UEFA has announced that Juventus has been disqualified from participating in the 2023/24 Europa Conference League due to violations of financial fair play rules. The Italian club has also been fined 20 million euros, with half of that amount suspended.

The additional fine of 10 million euros will only be imposed if Juventus fails to meet accounting requirements in the financial years 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Juventus has accepted the decision and will not appeal the sanction, but they maintain that this does not imply any admission of liability. Fiorentina is likely to replace Juventus in the Conference League.

In a separate settlement, Chelsea has agreed to pay 10 million euros to UEFA for “submitting incomplete financial information” during the Roman Abramovich era. The club’s new owners reported instances of potentially incomplete financial reporting under the previous ownership between 2012 and 2019.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
