Speaking at a judicial convention in Rawalpindi a day after the Supreme Court issued its decision in the Punjab polls delay case, the PML-N scion stated that no court “dared” to stand up to dictators and had their heads bowed in front of power. “Courts kept throwing out politicians, but never brought a dictator into the courtroom,” she said.

“The judiciary validated dictators while ousting or threatening elected prime ministers,” she said, citing Nawaz Sharif’s account of a judge messaging him while he was prime minister and telling him to do his bidding or go to Adiala.
She claimed that it has always been disqualified prime ministers and people who have pushed dictators out, while the judiciary has “never stopped dictators, only stopped democracy.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
