Former U.S. President Joe Biden, 82, has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, according to a statement from his office. The diagnosis came after Biden experienced worsening urinary symptoms, prompting medical evaluations that revealed a prostate nodule and confirmed the aggressive stage of the disease.
Biden’s cancer has been graded as a 9 on the Gleason scale, indicating a high level of severity. However, his office noted that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, which means it can still be effectively managed through treatment. Biden and his family are currently exploring various treatment options.
