The U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) has released millions of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, offering new insights into his network.
The papers reveal that Epstein was kept informed about Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s personal and professional life through emails from Richard Kahn, one of his closest associates.
One 2018 email, titled “Brad Pitt spending time with rockstar MIT professor,” referenced a Page Six article about Pitt and MIT professor Neri Oxman. The documents indicate that Pitt met Oxman through an MIT architecture project. Sources described their connection as a professional friendship focused on architecture, design, and art. The relationship was not romantic, according to the reports.
Another email to Epstein, titled “Angelina who? ‘Lucky guy’ Brad Pitt’s new lady friend,” detailed Oxman’s accomplishments. Kahn described her as a combination of beauty, brains, and professional success, highlighting what he called the “Amal Effect” inspired by George Clooney’s marriage to Amal Alamuddin. The email claimed Pitt admired Oxman and found her impressive.
The documents also note that Epstein had strong ties to MIT. Before his death in August 2019, he contributed roughly $800,000 to Oxman’s lab, raising questions about his influence in academic and professional circles.
The release of over three million DoJ documents sheds light on how Jeffrey Epstein stayed connected to celebrities and influential figures. It shows the flow of information he received and the network of associates who kept him informed about high-profile social and professional interactions.
