Eyewitnesses claimed the vehicle hit the bike with force before fleeing. Its number plate reportedly fell off, helping bystanders trace the owner. They also alleged that individuals accompanying Zafar Abbas tried to stop people from filming the aftermath.
Police from the Samanabad station responded quickly but found the crash site cleared. The Vigo and its driver were gone by the time officials arrived.
Zafar Abbas later transported both injured teens to a private hospital. Speaking to the media, he said the motorcyclists had no headlights and ran into the Vigo. He also claimed the vehicle was being used by an employee to buy ice at the time.
Hospital sources confirmed that 18-year-old Abdul Ahad is in critical condition and on a ventilator. His cousin, 19-year-old Hanif, also suffered injuries. Both are residents of Mohammadi Colony in Azizabad.
Zafar arranged further medical treatment for the victims at a private facility. Police stated they now have the vehicle’s registration and driver details, as well as information about the motorcycle involved.
An official investigation is ongoing to determine legal responsibility for the crash.
