Jazz and Engro Connect Collaborate to Enhance Pakistan’s Digital Infrastructure

Jazz, VEON’s digital operator in Pakistan, and Engro Connect, a subsidiary of Engro Corporation, have announced a strategic partnership to enhance the management and utilization of telecommunications infrastructure in Pakistan.

Key Aspects of the Partnership:

  • Infrastructure Integration: Under the agreement, Jazz’s infrastructure assets, managed by its subsidiary Deodar (Private) Limited, will integrate with Engro Connect. This will be done in compliance with relevant laws and regulatory processes. Jazz will continue to lease Deodar’s infrastructure portfolio to ensure uninterrupted nationwide mobile voice and data services.
  • Digital ServiceCo Transformation: This partnership is a major step in Jazz’s transformation into a Digital ServiceCo. This new structure will streamline operations, enabling Jazz to deliver a wide range of digital solutions aimed at powering a Digital Pakistan. The collaboration aligns with VEON’s strategy to optimize operations and focus on high-growth areas.
  • Focus on Technological Innovation: By expanding into various sectors, including fintech, entertainment, cloud services, software, analytics, data centers, and insure-tech, Jazz is positioning itself as a leader in technological innovation in Pakistan. This will support the company’s goal of providing digital lifestyle services, fostering inclusion, and enabling financial empowerment for millions of Pakistanis.
