Former Pakistan head coach Jason Gillespie has revealed that he has yet to receive his complete payment from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), months after leaving his role in December 2024.

In a recent interview, Gillespie confirmed the issue remains unresolved, stating, “It’s ongoing. Let’s just leave it at that.” The former Australian fast bowler had previously raised concerns over unpaid dues, and his latest comments indicate the dispute may intensify.

The PCB, however, claims the delay stems from an alleged breach of contract by Gillespie.

Gillespie’s brief stint as head coach coincided with a major restructuring of Pakistan’s coaching setup, which included the appointment of Gary Kirsten to lead the white-ball teams. However, the dual-coach system quickly unraveled, with Gillespie departing just before Pakistan’s Test series against South Africa. Reports suggested his exit was driven by frustration over internal PCB decisions.

The standoff underscores the challenges in international coaching contracts and cross-border legal complexities. Earlier this year, Gillespie announced plans to take legal action against the PCB over the unpaid fees.

While details of the dispute remain confidential, the situation has drawn attention to the administrative hurdles in high-profile cricket appointments. For Gillespie, a highly regarded figure in coaching circles, the wait for resolution continues.
