Pakistan’s leading TikToker, Jannat Mirza, has revealed why her debut film, “Tere Bajre Di Rakhi,” failed to succeed at the box office. During a recent podcast appearance, she discussed her experience working with director Syed Noor on the film, stating, “Syed Noor is my uncle, and I have a lot of respect for him. The film ‘Tere Bajre Di Rakhi’ was good, but I think the script was weak.”

Jannat elaborated that the film featured outdated elements such as large weapons and horse chases, which don’t resonate with today’s young audience. She added, “Such stories were more popular in the past.”

She emphasized that a film’s success relies heavily on a strong script and a story that aligns with current trends. She admitted, “When I was offered the film, I was naïve. I used to make TikTok videos at home and didn’t even read the script before accepting the offer, so I didn’t know anything about the film’s story.”

Reflecting on her transition from a small screen to a big screen as an honor, Jannat noted that audiences primarily watch films for a good story. She remarked, “Even Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan’s films flop due to weak storylines.”
