Govt Pushes for 100% E-Office Adoption Across All Ministries and Departments
Islamabad – The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has formally requested compliance reports from all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), regulatory bodies, and ministries regarding the full implementation of the E-Office system, in line with a federal cabinet decision issued on May 19, 2025.
According to a follow-up notification by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) on May 20, all government entities must fully integrate with the E-Office system by December 31, 2024. Ministries are required to submit signed certificates verifying compliance, which will be compiled into a consolidated report for submission to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Cabinet Division.

To encourage adoption, the government has introduced a performance-based incentive, where the top three ministries with the most effective implementation will be publicly recognized on August 14, 2025. The aim is to foster a culture of digital governance and healthy inter-departmental competition.
Cybersecurity has also been emphasized as a core requirement of the E-Office rollout. MoITT has been directed to ensure robust security protocols are in place, while administrative secretaries have been tasked with sensitizing their departments about the urgency of this transition.
