PM OKs 150% Executive Allowance for Officers in Grades 17 to 22

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The executive allowance for BPS-17- to BPS-22 officers working in the Federal Secretariat and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Field Administration has been approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The executive allowance will be available to all BPS 17-22 officers (with the exception of private secretaries) posted to or employed by the Federal Secretariat, as well as the Prime Minister’s Office and President Secretariat, beginning on January 1, 2023.

IT Field Administration will continue to receive the executive allowance as previously advised. The executive allowance will be subject to the same terms and conditions as other allowances granted by the federal government to all employees. The office memorandum also stated that all other terms that were outlined in the Finance Division’s earlier O.M. Ibid will still apply.

In order to end prejudice among the various groups of officers, the premier earlier on February 1 approved awarding leftover officials serving at the federal secretariat a 150 percent executive allowance after consulting with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. It is important to note that the federal government announced an executive allowance for government personnel in July of last year, providing a financial benefit of up to 150 percent.
