In a recent incident, an Israeli airstrike targeted the UN-operated al-Jaouni school in central Gaza, killing at least 18 people, including women, children, and six UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff members. This attack represents the highest death toll of UNRWA staff in a single incident during the ongoing conflict.

Simultaneously, Hamas has indicated its readiness to accept a proposed truce agreement, backed by the UN and the US, without new conditions.
