Israeli forces have escalated their operations in the southern Gaza Strip, particularly in Khan Younis, resulting in at least 34 Palestinian deaths according to medical sources. The military’s actions include pushing tanks further into the region and conducting airstrikes. Residents have reported unexpected tank incursions and evacuation orders, leading to widespread displacement.

The Israeli military asserts that these evacuations are necessary due to attacks from Hamas and other fighters, who are reportedly using anti-tank rockets and mortars. In contrast, Palestinian, UN, and humanitarian groups criticize the shrinking safe zones and inadequate secure areas for civilians.

The ongoing conflict has severely impacted Gaza, with over 40,500 Palestinian lives lost and significant shortages of essential resources for the 2.3 million residents.
