Israel announced that the ceasefire in Gaza will resume after a series of airstrikes killed at least 26 people. The strikes came in response to attacks that left two Israeli soldiers dead, triggering a short suspension of humanitarian aid.

The Israeli military confirmed that aid deliveries to Gaza will restart soon, following international calls to restore relief access. The government said it aims to prevent further civilian suffering while continuing to target militant positions.

Gaza health officials reported that most of the casualties were civilians, including women and children. Several residential areas were hit, leaving buildings damaged and displacing dozens of families.

The temporary halt in aid deliveries worsened conditions for Gaza’s population, already struggling with shortages of food, medicine, and clean water. Relief agencies had warned that continued delays could lead to a humanitarian crisis.

Tensions remain high as both sides accuse each other of violating the truce. Regional mediators, including Egypt and Qatar, are reportedly working to keep the ceasefire intact and avoid another round of fighting.

Observers say the resumption of both the ceasefire and aid is a positive sign but warn that the situation remains fragile. The coming days will determine whether calm can be maintained or if the conflict reignites.
