Israel has confirmed that all 20 surviving hostages held by Hamas in Gaza have been released and safely returned home.
The release took place under a recent ceasefire arrangement brokered through international mediation.
According to officials, the freed hostages were handed over to the Red Cross before being transported back to Israel, where they were reunited with their families
