ISPR to Address Media on Pakistan-Afghanistan Border Situation

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), is scheduled to hold a significant press briefing today amid rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The press conference will highlight the latest security developments along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border and provide updates on ongoing military actions in response to recent alleged provocations from across the border. Authorities are expected to present details regarding the current operational environment and steps taken to maintain stability in the region.

The briefing is set for 4 PM today, where media representatives will receive comprehensive information about the border situation and progress related to the ongoing military initiative, reported as Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. Officials are likely to share operational achievements and strategic objectives of the campaign.

According to reports, the operation conducted by Pakistan’s armed forces has resulted in substantial losses for opposing militant groups. Authorities claim that 133 militants have been neutralized and more than 200 others have sustained injuries during the recent engagements. These figures reflect the intensity of the recent counteractions carried out along the border areas.

In addition, military sources report that 27 militant posts have been destroyed, while control has been taken over 9 additional positions. Significant equipment losses have also been reported, including the destruction of over 36 tanks, artillery units, and armored personnel carriers (APCs). These actions are part of broader efforts to counter security threats and strengthen border defenses.
