The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced the deployment of mobile facilitation vans across the capital from October 20 to October 27, 2025. This initiative aims to provide citizens with easy access to essential police and licensing services without visiting ITP offices.
The mobile vans will operate daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at key public locations. Services offered include issuance of learner driving permits, renewal of driving licenses, and registration of tenant and domestic worker details. Citizens can also obtain FIR copies, character certificates, and report lost items. Additionally, foreign nationals can access police verification and complaint management services through the vans.
Officials from the Islamabad Traffic Police said the initiative is designed to reduce congestion at police offices and bring services closer to the public. “The mobile facilitation vans will help citizens complete their documentation and verification tasks efficiently,” a spokesperson noted.
The ITP also reminded the public that emergency services remain operational through Pucar-15, while general inquiries can be addressed via helpline numbers 1915 or 051-9263252.
This move is part of the Islamabad Traffic Police’s broader effort to enhance service delivery and improve public interaction. By taking police services directly to neighborhoods and busy public areas, the department hopes to make routine processes more convenient and time-efficient for residents.
Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the mobile facilitation vans to complete pending applications and obtain required documents. The Islamabad Traffic Police emphasized that all standard procedures and documentation requirements will remain in place, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
