On February 28, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal issued an arrest warrant for the former prime minister.

According to sources, the Islamabad police are in Lahore to detain the PTI chairman.

Khan will be detained once all legal criteria have been met, according to the sources.

In response to news of the arrest, PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry issued a warning that if the government takes action against the former prime minister, the situation in the nation will only get worse.

I want to caution this inept and anti-Pakistan government not to force Pakistan into more crisis and behave responsibly, as any move to arrest Imran Khan will gravely worsen the situation, warned Fawad.

He also called on the party workers to reach Zaman Park.
