The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has initiated a novel initiative known as ‘Mechanic on Wheels’ to aid drivers dealing with vehicle or motorcycle breakdowns. This program was launched under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

Operating round-the-clock, the ‘Mechanic on Wheels’ service can be accessed by dialing the ITP helpline at 1915 for assistance. A mechanic will promptly be dispatched to the location to address the issue. A spokesperson for the Islamabad Traffic Police highlighted their commitment to assisting citizens and simplifying travel, aiming to alleviate the inconvenience caused by vehicle breakdowns.
