The court directed that only individuals nominated by Imran Khan’s coordinator, Salman Akram Raja, can meet him, while requests for meetings with his children must be submitted to the trial court.
The ruling follows ongoing legal proceedings, with Khan remaining in jail since August 2023.
Earlier, PTI KP President Junaid Akbar petitioned the court, accusing the government of violating jail rules by denying visits, warning of rising tensions. The Punjab government refuted these claims, while PTI leaders called for lifting restrictions, asserting they were a pressure tactic. PTI reiterated that Khan would not seek a deal for his release and would continue his struggle for constitutional supremacy.
