Islamabad Government Closes All Hiking Trails

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a notification stating that all hiking trails in Islamabad will be closed to the public from March 19th to March 23rd in preparation for Parade Day on March 23rd.

During this period, access to trails number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be restricted from 5 am to 5 pm. The closure is necessary due to Parade preparations, and the CDA has urged the public to cooperate to avoid inconvenience.

After the Parade Day, the trails will be reopened to the public. Additionally, the CDA has announced plans to commence the construction of bicycle lanes in Islamabad, costing Rs. 2.4 billion.

In other news, the Ministry of National Defense of China has confirmed the participation of Chinese armed forces in Pakistan’s National Day military parade on March 23rd. A spokesperson revealed that a contingent of the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will be sent to participate, following an invitation from the Pakistani military.
