Federal government educational institutions in Islamabad are set to enjoy an extended break around Eid ul Fitr, giving students and staff up to 11 consecutive days off when weekends, national holidays, and spring holidays are combined.
According to the official notification, federal government schools and colleges will remain closed from March 24 to March 27 for spring holidays and will reopen on March 30. Officials said these spring holidays have been merged with Eid celebrations, creating a longer continuous break for institutions following the notified schedule.
The extended break timeline includes: March 19–21 as Eid holidays, March 22 as Sunday, March 23 as a national holiday, March 24–27 as spring break, and March 28 as Sunday, resulting in an uninterrupted stretch of off-days for students in the capital.
Educational authorities have confirmed that classes will resume on March 30, allowing students to return to their normal academic routine after the prolonged holiday period.
The combined Eid and spring break is intended to give students and staff a chance to rest and spend time with family while also accommodating seasonal holidays in the academic calendar.
