In an effort to provide relief to citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, the Islamabad district administration has announced the opening of 17 fair price shops across the city. This initiative aims to allow residents to purchase essential food items at wholesale rates, easing the financial burden during the month when demand for food items typically increases.
The locations of the fair price shops have been strategically selected to ensure easy access for the public. Prominent areas include G-9 Centre, I-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13, Barakahu, Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtarar Road, and I-11/4. Assistant Commissioners have been tasked with overseeing the smooth operation of these outlets, ensuring that subsidized prices are available to residents throughout Ramadan.
