Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has strongly rejected allegations against Pakistan’s close relationship with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the strong bonds of friendship between the two nations. In his statement, Dar affirmed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are “close friends and brothers” and that their relationship is built on mutual respect. He also expressed admiration for Saudi Arabia’s journey of development and prosperity, highlighting that Pakistan takes great pride in its enduring relationship with the Kingdom, which has consistently supported Pakistan during challenging times.
Dar condemned the implication of Saudi Arabia in political controversies, calling it a “petty political point-scoring” move driven by a “desperate mindset.” He urged political forces to refrain from using Pakistan’s foreign policy for political objectives that could harm the nation’s standing in the international arena.

In a separate statement, Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, addressed PTI workers, reaffirming that her husband would not seek revenge upon his release from jail. She emphasized that the PTI leadership has always promoted peaceful political expression and has never encouraged violence. She made it clear that PTI would continue to pursue lawful and peaceful means of political expression, rejecting any rumors suggesting revenge against political opponents.
Bushra Bibi further stressed that peaceful protests are a fundamental right, and PTI would continue to advocate for peaceful political activities while following the law. This message aimed to calm concerns among PTI supporters and reassure them of their commitment to non-violence in their political struggle.
