Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused the United States and Israel of deliberately trying to sow discord among Muslim nations, contrasting their actions with Iran’s stated commitment to regional peace and unity. His remarks came during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday.
“We strongly believe that the United States and the Zionist regime are trying to create rifts among Muslim nations, while Iran is pursuing regional unity and peace,” President Pezeshkian said, according to an official statement released by his office.

The conversation follows a deadly 12-day Israeli military offensive against Iran—backed by the US—which reportedly resulted in the deaths of more than 600 Iranians, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. The call is widely seen as part of Iran’s broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen regional ties in the aftermath of the conflict.
Pezeshkian stressed that the strategies employed by Washington and Tel Aviv are intended to obstruct cooperation on core regional issues, including Palestinian rights, regional autonomy, and resistance to foreign interference.
He further reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to asserting its rights through diplomatic channels and pledged to continue outreach aimed at fostering solidarity among Muslim nations.
