Iranian Delegation Arrives in Islamabad for Key US Talks on Middle East Conflict

An Iranian Delegation led by Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf arrived in Islamabad early Saturday for important negotiations with the United States. The talks aim to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing Middle East conflict.

The visit comes after a two-week ceasefire agreement that was facilitated by Pakistan. Officials believe this step has created a positive environment for dialogue. The Iranian Delegation includes Abbas Araghchi, who is expected to play a key role in the discussions.

Upon arrival, the delegation received a high-level welcome. Ishaq Dar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Asim Munir, and Mohsin Naqvi were present to receive the guests. Officials described the reception as a sign of Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peace efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishaq Dar expressed hope for constructive engagement between both sides. He said Pakistan remains committed to facilitating dialogue for a long-term solution. The government has emphasized its neutral and supportive role in these negotiations.

Meanwhile, the United States delegation is also expected to arrive in Islamabad. JD Vance is leading the American side. Before his departure, he said the talks are being held under the guidance of Donald Trump. He also expressed optimism about achieving positive results.

The US delegation will include key figures such as Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The negotiations are scheduled to take place in Islamabad later on Saturday.

To support smooth arrangements, Pakistan has announced special facilities for both sides. The Foreign Office confirmed that visa-free travel will be provided to members of the delegations and accompanying journalists. This step aims to ensure easy movement and better coordination.
