Iran Warns Regional Bases of Israel's Allies Could Be Targeted Amid Rising Tensions

Amid a rapidly intensifying conflict with Israel, Iran has issued a stern warning to countries considering support for the Israeli military, declaring that their regional military bases may be targeted if they intervene. A senior Iranian official made the remarks to CNN on Saturday, further raising concerns of a broader regional escalation.

The official, who remained unnamed, stated that Iran “reserves the right – under international law – to respond decisively” to Israeli aggression. He warned that “any country that attempts to defend the regime against Iran’s operations will, in turn, see its regional bases and positions become new targets.”

This warning comes days after Israel reportedly struck Iranian military, residential, and nuclear sites—an attack Tehran claims killed senior commanders and nuclear scientists. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed launching a wave of ballistic missiles at Israel under “Operation True Promise III,” a campaign sanctioned by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The IRGC asserted that its missiles successfully struck intended targets inside Israel, bypassing the country’s sophisticated air defense systems. While independent verification remains limited, the strikes are considered one of the most significant Iranian retaliatory actions in recent years.

With tensions surging, Tehran’s latest message has drawn concern from Gulf states and Western powers with military installations across the Middle East. Observers warn that further escalation could pull regional players into a wider and more dangerous conflict.
