The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned recent statements by the United States, describing them as interventionist and misleading. Tehran accused Washington of fueling instability and waging an economic and financial war against Iran.
In an official statement, the ministry said the US remarks reflect a continuation of long-standing hostility toward Iran. It stressed that these comments are not meant to support the Iranian people but aim to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.
The ministry claimed that the real objective of the US statements is to incite violence and create insecurity and instability within Iran.
Recognition of Peaceful Protests
Iran’s Foreign Ministry clarified that the government recognizes the right to peaceful protests under the country’s constitution. Officials said the government is taking measures to address citizens’ legitimate demands through legal and institutional channels.
At the same time, the ministry rejected any attempts by foreign actors to exploit internal unrest for political purposes.
Economic Hardships Linked to US Sanctions
Iran said a significant part of its economic problems stems from comprehensive sanctions imposed by the United States. The ministry accused Washington of conducting a coordinated campaign to weaken Iran’s stability and impact the daily lives of ordinary citizens.
Iran urged the international community to recognize that US sanctions directly affect human rights, livelihoods, and economic stability.
Call for Respect for Sovereignty
The Foreign Ministry demanded that the United States respect Iran’s sovereignty and refrain from interfering in domestic affairs. Officials emphasized that Iran will continue to resist foreign pressure and will not allow external policies to undermine its freedom or dignity.
