Iran has launched a sweeping nationwide crackdown on suspected Israeli spies, with more than 700 individuals reportedly arrested in recent days, according to Iranian media. The arrests mark one of the most extensive internal security operations in the country in recent years.
The campaign comes amid escalating regional tensions following Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Authorities also confirmed the execution of another alleged Mossad agent—making it the third such execution in just a week.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, addressing local media, reaffirmed Tehran’s unwavering commitment to its nuclear program. “Iran will not abandon its nuclear technology. We have worked tirelessly to achieve this progress,” he said. “A war was imposed on us in the name of nuclear weapons, and our scientists have made significant sacrifices in pursuit of this technology.”
The crackdown reflects Iran’s growing concerns over espionage and sabotage amid ongoing conflict and external pressure on its nuclear infrastructure. While Israel has not commented on the arrests or executions, Iranian officials insist the alleged spies were acting under foreign directives to undermine national security.
