Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro series, marking one of its biggest design and performance updates in years. Moving away from titanium, the new models return to a Series 7000 aluminum unibody with enhanced durability, upgraded displays, redesigned cameras, and larger batteries. Available in silver, cosmic orange, and deep blue, both models feature Ceramic Shield 2 glass that is more scratch- and crack-resistant.
The iPhone 17 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, while the Pro Max offers a 6.9-inch version, both supporting 120Hz ProMotion, Always-On display, and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Powered by the A19 Pro chip built on a 3nm process, Apple says performance rivals MacBook Pros. A new vapor chamber cooling system boosts sustained performance by 40%. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, running on iOS 26 with the new Liquid Glass design language.
Camera upgrades include a 48MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, along with 48MP wide and ultrawide sensors, plus an 18MP front camera. Video features expand to ProRes RAW, Log 2, genlock, and Final Cut Camera 2.0 integration.
Battery life offers up to 39 hours of video playback. Storage starts at 256GB, with the Pro Max extending to 2TB. Pricing begins at $1,099 for the Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max.
