In a dramatic turn during a heist at the Tarbela Dam power station, police announced on Thursday the arrest of the main suspect, the station’s security advisor.
Authorities reported that the suspect had stolen valuable equipment, wires, and various gadgets valued in the millions from the facility. An investigation has been launched, with police employing scientific methods to apprehend other involved parties, as the situation poses serious concerns.

Additionally, the tehsil security advisory committee identified the security advisor, Inspector Nasrullah Khan, as a security threat during their inquiry.
Following his arrest, the suspect admitted to not only the power station theft but also to numerous other crimes, including a significant robbery in 2009. Police revealed that he had been receiving substantial payments from illegal fishermen as well.
