Internet Service Along with Social Media Reportedly Down Across the Country

Sunday evening witnessed widespread outages affecting internet services and popular social media platforms, causing frustration among users in the country. Netizens reported connection errors and disruptions across platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Around 5 pm, Downdetector.pk showed a significant increase in connection outages for YouTube, X, Instagram and Facebook.

The impact of the outage extended to Google services and the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), according to reports on downdetector.pk.

The cause of the disruption remains unclear, and as of this report, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not issued any statements regarding the matter.
