The Pakistani federal government is reportedly planning to partially suspend internet and mobile phone services starting November 23 in anticipation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)‘s protest scheduled for November 24. The suspension is expected to affect areas including Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and several districts in Punjab.
As per sources, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is set to initiate a firewall on mobile internet services starting November 20, which will cause internet speeds to slow down significantly and restrict downloads on social media apps.
