A case brought against Sanaullah in August of last year was being heard in court. Sanaullah was charged with threatening to kill the chief secretary and his family, according to PML-Q leader Shahkaz Aslam.
Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to prevent a public servant from performing his duties), 186 (obstructing a public servant from performing his duties), 189 (threat to injure a public servant), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code were also referenced in the FIR.
According to the lawsuit, Sanaullah threatened to kill the children of government officials and prevent the judiciary from carrying out its constitutional duties during speeches he gave on April 16, 2021, and January 29, 2022.
The FIR also included quotes from the interior minister, who, according to the report, said them during a private TV channel programme in August of last year.
