The interim PM was referring to the surprising reduction in Sunday’s fuel rates, which resulted from a substantial drop in international oil prices and the Pakistani rupee’s strengthening against the US dollar.
Notably, on Monday, the business community lauded the government’s decision to slash petroleum product prices by a historic Rs. 40 per liter for petrol.
Following the adjustment, the new price of petrol is now Rs. 283.38, reflecting a Rs. 40 per liter reduction. Similarly, the new price of high-speed diesel has been set at Rs. 303.18, representing a Rs. 15 per liter decrease.
